Trends in the latest Chinese literature. Chen Xiaomin

The book analyzes in detail the process of the formation of the latest Chinese literature, as well as the development of its directions and genres - from “hundred schools” and “cultural revolution” to neorealism and feminist creativity. Chen Xiaomin pays considerable attention to the problems of periodization, the connection of literature and the historical process, as well as reasoning about the essence of the term “latest literature” and the delimitation between it and the literature of “modern”. These and other issues are considered by the author on the example of the most outstanding works, authors and schools of the second half of the 20th century.
