The attention of readers is proposed to the book of the German linguist and ethnographer A. M. Dirra (1867–1930), who has been living in Russia for many years, which is dedicated to the study of the Tsahur language - one of the Lezginsky languages, widespread in Dagestan, as well as in the territory of Azerbaijan. The book considers the phonetics of the Tsahur language, describes some features of pronunciation and stress. A grammatical outline of the Tsahur language is presented, parts of speech and their changes are considered. Examples of Tsahur texts are given - riddles, proverbs, fairy tales, lullabies, poems and jokes - with their translation into Russian. At the end of the book contains a collection of Tsahur words with a Russian index to it.
The book will be useful for specialists-lime, teachers, students and graduate students of philological faculties of universities, as well as ethnologists and historians.
