Two weeks of waiting

Lu receives unpleasant news. According to medical reasons, she should have a child as soon as possible, since in the future she will no longer be able to become a mother. Alas, she does not find understanding with her second half, which leads to a break in the relationship. Despair, depression is inevitable. But when you feel bad, you need to find one who is even worse and help. A meeting with Adam, who also dreams of children, acquaintance with Kat and Rich, save Lu. Their touching stories will teach her to fight, to love and see the light even where he left, it seemed, forever.

The book is a continuation of Sarah Rainer’s novel “One moment, one morning”. Lu discovers a benign ovarian tumor and in the process of examinations it turns out that she would be good to instill in children, but her friend Sofia is not determined to have children and is not sure that she will ever want this at all. The couple breaks the relationship that Light hurts painfully, but in a firm intention to become a mother, she is supported by faithful friends Anna and Karen, their fates are traced in the book schematically. Karen raises two children and misses the late wife. Anna, after breaking up with the previous alcoholic boyfriend, arranges her personal life. In parallel, the history of the spouses Kat and Rich unfolds. Kat underwent the ovarian removal surgery during cancer treatment, therefore the only opportunity to become a mother for her is a donor egg. Lou and Kat, who will not get acquainted before the end of the book, become participants in the egg donation program. In search of a suitable candidate for the role of Father Lou through friends, he meets homosexual Adam, who dreams of children. Lu donates half of Kat eggs grown after hormonal therapy, but the first attempt by IVF becomes unsuccessful for Kat, like the second. Everything is fine with LU, and at the end of the book he and Adam become the parents of a beautiful healthy boy, and Kat and her husband come to a difficult decision not to try Eco anymore, Kat decides to realize herself in creativity, because she was actively engaged in pottery before the illness, and Decides to open a school for children. The book ends with a touching scene when Kat through the doctor who conducted the IVF procedure reports Lu with a blanket, which she sewed for her never born baby.
