Ugly swans

In one “Unnamed European Country”, in a provincial town where there is endless rain, and gloomy, indifferent people live, the popular writer Viktor Banev observes the mysterious forces, gradually changing the local atmosphere and imperceptibly affecting the moral appearance of the townspeople.

Mutant intellectuals, called Mokrets, whom the Government is trying to keep under control, bring up children of the city, making vinduderkinds from them. As a result, it is the children who pronounce the verdict to the false world of adults, leaving the city.
