On June 8, 2008, a prayer to the icon of the Mother of God “Sovereign”, a prayer to the “Sovereign” icon, which was revealed here, the great procession “under the star of the Virgin” ended. It lasted a year. Eight rays-eight processions of the processions came to Moscow from eight limits, symbolizing the rays of the Star of the Virgin: from Vladivostok, Barnaul, Yakutsk, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg and Arkhangelsk, from Jerusalem and Athos. From Kolomensky, the common procession went through Moscow to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, where the Holy Patriarch Alexy II, who had blessed him, who blessed all this unprecedented march.

This collection consists of unique evidence of those people who passed through all Russia on foot with Jesus prayer. Participants in the processions “under the star of the Virgin” share with the reader their spiritual experience, experience of travelers and personal experiences about those memorable days. Orthodox people went with faith that the Mother of God herself sanctifies the Earth, with the hope that the Lord would not leave, protect Rus' from all untruths and misfortunes. They walked with the icons, knowing that there was no stronger unifying principle living in the vastness of the Motherland and our compatriots abroad than the Orthodox faith of Christ.
