Sebastian Logan is a successful horror writer leading a calm life in the English seaside. But soon his comfortable existence interrupts the emergence of an alien from the past, which he hoped to leave forever behind. Together with the old acquaintance, something terrible invades the daily routine of Logan, and it is relentlessly followed by Sebastian. He sees strange dark figures in the afternoon, someone else's gaze does not let him go even in a dream. Suddenly, he seems to be in his own novel, and the reality around is distorted before our eyes. Soon Logan finds out that there are doors that lead to unknown worlds, that the nightmares that are in oblivion, where it is more real than to think, and life after death exists, but this is not a reason for joy. And Sebastian’s attempts to get rid of constant persecution, to understand what is happening to him, turn out to be mortal danger, because he is far from the first who disappeared, trying to get out from under the vigilant supervision.
