The Republic of Uzbekistan is a young state, but its history goes into deep antiquity. For centuries, this region has been a place of intersection of cultures and incredible events. There was a great silk path, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism and Islam developed. Timur turned Samarkand into the largest cultural center of the region where many scientists of that time lived, worked and worked. The armies of the great conquerors of the past - Alexander of Macedon and Tamerlan were noted on these lands.
