Viola, or pansies, belongs to the most early and long -flowering plants. It is widely used in carpet plantings on flower beds and in borders, looks great in window and balcony boxes, flowerpots and pots. A non -receipt, winter -hardy plant, prefers open sunny areas, but can grow in partial shade. It develops well on soils consisting of peat, humus and sod land with the addition of sand.
