A shrub with a height of 2-3 m and a diameter of up to 5 m. The crown is wrong, with obliquely raised branches and drooping shoots. The needles are scaly, inside the crown is needle-shaped, gray-green to gray-blue.

smoke-, dust and gas resistant. It tolerates city conditions well. Drought and wind resistant. Prone to snowfield. The root system is rod, poorly tolerates transplanting without a coma. It reacts well to pruning.

single -day, less often dioecious trees, up to 15 (30) m, with a conical crown, in the youth narrower. Gray or reddish bark, exfoliating, shoots are thin, green. The needles are scaly, on young plants and lower branches of adult specimens needle, up to 13 mm long, dark green, brownish in winter. Shishkoyagodes are spherical, with a diameter of up to 6 mm, dark blue with a blue raid.
