reprinting the novel of an outstanding Soviet and Russian writer B.L. Vasilieva is accompanied by the preface of one of the largest modern specialists in the history of Ancient Rus' V.V. Dolgova, as well as the publication of passages dedicated to Vladimir Svyatoslavich, from the works of the classics of domestic historical thought S.M. Soloviev and V.O. Klyuchevsky. The text of the novel is accompanied by the thematic illustrations of the artist K.V. Prokofieva.
