Jules Verne’s poetry was not even known to the French reader until 1989, when a genuine literary sensation took place in Paris - the publication of two notebooks of original verses from the writer’s personal archive stored in Nantes. From the pages of this publication, the world-famous author of the scientific, fantastic and adventure prose appeared before the reading public in a new, unfamiliar image.

in this edition was collected, in the original language and in Russian poetic translation, almost complete, with the exception of Incredible fragments and sketches, the corps of poetic texts of Jules Verne: youthful lyrics, poems of mature pores, romances and poetic inserts into novels. A team of translators working on the book, working with the site “Century of Translation”, the founder and leader of which was E.V. Vitkovsky. A. N. Triandafilidi acted as the compiler and author of the preface.

The publication of the complete poetic heritage of Jules Verne is carried out for the first time in Russia.
