The unique book journey that you go to will prepare you for a meeting with the real Baikal: we have collected a variety of facts - about the history of the lake, its character and inhabitants, about routes of varying degrees of complexity - and tried to talk about the problems that are facing Baikal right now. There are so many of them that a huge ancient lake is very necessary today and your help. And we will tell you how to help Baikal and participate in his life from anywhere in the earth.

Anya and Varya Kendel-Russian artists, twin sisters who love to travel and make illustrations for books together. In 2021, Anya spent five months on the shore of Lake Baikal, and two years before she went on a kayak 400 kilometers along the western coast. In that campaign, the idea was born to make a book about Lake Baikal. The project won the competition "Samota" Book inside in 2019.
