We. 1984. Orwell J.
The novels of “We” E. Zamyatin and “1984” by J. Orwell are one of the most read anti -utopias of the twentieth century. Both novels show the world of the future that humanity awaits. How does the authors see it? This is a strict regulated life in a single state without borders, with the subsequent death of the very concept of “state”. It is controlled in it by a political system based on total control and systematic “brainwashing” (“benefactor” by Zamyatin and “senior brother” by Orwell). The purpose of this system is to create a new person without the past, not burdened by the experience of previous generations, deprived of not only individuality, freedom, rights to their own opinion and private life, but even the name: “number” are ideal gears of the state machine. And the sterilized world of Zamyatin is no less terrible than dirty, from flesh and blood the world of Orwell.
