Apikuni-a distant white cloak-such a name was given by the Indians-Blane to the writer James Willard Schultsu (1859-1947), who lived among them for a long time, traded with them, studied their story, beliefs and customs, was married to a girl from the tribe Pieganov. Schulz's books open a window to readers to the world of the Indians of the Old West, the world of hunters, soldiers, travelers, healers, the world of pristine nature - the world of Apikuni.

The next volume of the works of Schulz included works, first published in Russian.
