In the history of the world novel, F. M. Dostoevsky belongs to one of the first places. His work was enriched with the experience of artistic self -knowledge of mankind. He is the author of the famous novels “Crime and Punishment”, “Milised and Offended”, “Idiot”, “Brothers Karamazovs”, “Player”...
In this publication, the early novels of Dostoevsky are presented: “White Nights” (1848) and “Netochka Nevovanov” (1849-1860). If in the first work (the novel of the lovers) such a timely and today the problem of alienation is raised, then in the second the question is: is the human nature initially cruel.
We can safely say that “White Nights” and “Netochka Nezvanov” are the most poetic works of Dostoevsky. The book is completed by I. Annensky’s essay about Dostoevsky.
