Why write? Mouth F.
Essay collection, interviews, performances, letters and conversations with the writers of one of the most read modern American writers. Each book of Philip Roth (1933–2018) in his long one - from 1959 to 2010 - did not leave the writers' career indifferent to readers or critics and was almost invariably noted by literary awards.
In 2012, Philip Roth moved away from writing. In 2017, he released his own compiled collection of journalism, written in half a century - from 1960 to 2014. The book was the last lifetime publication of the author, his creative testament and the result of reflection on literature and literary work. His own works, the work of brothers in Peru, which he admired, the creative process, American culture - the vast circle of this collection is presented in a variety of genres: his mouth reflects in the essay, writes a letter to Wikipedia, gives interviews, speaks speeches, talks with writers. The reader has a fascinating conversation with an interesting and extraordinary thinking interlocutor.
