Vienna, the beginning of the XX century. Luciush Klevsky is a young man from an aristocratic Polish family. But when Lucius arrives at the place of service in the Carpathian mountains, he discovers that this is not a huge hospital, but an impromptu hospital located in the old wooden church, and still ruined by a typhoid epidemic. The surviving medical staff fled, only a monkhin sister remained, which is surrounded by strange mystery. Lucius is the only doctor for many miles around, a surgeon, although he has never operated on anyone. What will happen in the place of his service will forever change the life of Lucius and all the people close to him. “Winter Soldier” is the history of war and medicine, a novel about the search for love in the stormy waves of European history, about the mistakes that everyone makes, and about the precious chance of their atonement.
