Woe from the mind
Alexander Sergeyevich Griboedov (1795 - 1829) - Russian diplomat, poet, playwright, pianist and composer. Universal glory by A. S. Griboedov brought his comedy “Woe from Wit” (1822–1824). This play is a satire on the aristocratic Moscow society of the first half of the 19th century. The main conflict is flared up between Chatsky, a representative of the new generation of the nobles, and the Famusov society, in which it is customary to appreciate not a person, but his rank and money. “I'm not talking about poetry,” A.S. wrote about comedy Pushkin, - half should enter the proverbs. " Indeed, one of us does not use such winged expressions of the immortal comedy: “And who are the judges?”, “Would you be glad to serve, to serve as nauseous”, “Is it possible to choose a noble to walk?”
