“The word about Igor’s regiment” is a brilliant work of ancient Russian literature of the 12th century, a contribution to the general treasury of world literature. The book includes the Old Russian text “Words”, the literal and explanatory translations of D. Likhachev, the poetic transformations of “Words” by A. Maykov and N. Zabolotsky, an article by a professor of Moscow State University named after Lomonosova A.A. Pautkin about modern research and scientific disputes around the “Word”.

The book is designed by engravings of artists V.A. Favorsky and M.I. Pikov.
