Archimandrite Naum (Bayborodin; 1927-2017) was quite deservedly considered one of the most famous elders of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. Many remember him as a perspicacious and wise mentor, loving, caring and indifferent to human fate. He turned hundreds of people to God, saved them from mental torment and led to the light of truth.

This book contains excerpts from the sermons of Archimandrite Naum (Baiborodin), from his instructions and conversations about the upbringing of children and adolescents. The words of the Lavra elder, addressed to parents, always contained a call to them to start raising the child with improving themselves: “In order to really make a good person out of the child, you yourself need to become such. Only then will the former blessings approve the house, and the mother’s prayer will save from the misfortune. ”
