The content of the workshop includes issues on the main topics of the course “Legal regulation of information technology (IT)”, tasks and practical situations for them, a list of recommended literature, regulatory acts and judicial practice. The workshop is fully consistent with the content of the work program of the discipline developed at the Department of International Private and Civil Law named after S. N. Lebedeva International Faculty of International Faculty of MGIMO Foreign Ministry.

is designed for students of undergraduate and magistracy programs in the direction of preparation of “Business Informatics”, as well as programs of additional professional education.

The main task of the book is to develop practical skills in situations with the need to appeal to the legal regulation of those areas of activity in which graduates of this course are involved in their main profession. Even if in most cases, IT specialists turn to professional lawyers, they need an initial understanding of what cases should be done, as well as the ability to adequately evaluate the quality of legal consultation. In addition, the workshop is aimed at developing critical thinking skills, as well as an understanding of the need in certain cases of appeal to legal norms.
