What do the names of Amadis Gallsky, Malmerin of English, Don Bellenis of Greek, Belo Tirant tell us today? But it was precisely as a parody of novels about these knights that “cunning Idalgo Don Kikhot Lamanch” was created by Miguel de Cervantes Savedra (1547–1616). And this parody has been experiencing a parody genre for centuries. In 2002, according to a survey conducted among writers by the Nobel Institute, Don Quixote was recognized as the best novel in the history of world literature. It is no accident that V. Nabokov claimed that, “reading other novelists, we will not part with Don Quixote for a minute,” recognizing his features in John Jarndis, and in Konstantin Levina, and even in Emma Bova.
