Wuthering Heights. In the Kazakh language. Bronte E.J.
The only novel of the English writer and poetess Emily Bronte, published in December 1847 under her pseudonym Ellis Bell, and her most famous work. The action of the novel takes place on the heather of West Yorkshire and describes the dramatic relationship of the two families-Ernsho and Lintons-with the reception of Hitcliff. An exemplary plot, the innovative use of several narrators, attention to the details of the life of the local nobility in combination with the romantic interpretation of natural phenomena, the bright figurative system and processing of the conventions of the Gothic romance make the “thunderstorm” by the standard of the novel of late romanticism and the classic work of English literature.
