a deep dark night, a young woman, rejected by all the inhabitants of her village, dies on a bloody bed. A half -smile plays on her exhausted face, the look was fixed in the forest washed by moonlight. The last words of the girl who heard the midwife after the birth of the unhappy child became: "Curse... a little curse, as she said...". And then the sickening gurgling laughter spills throughout the house, foreshadowing the inevitable disaster.

The young Immanuel is struggling to live according to the laws of the Church and follow the Holy Scriptures. She should not doubt the need for strict rules - after all, it was here, on the outskirts of Vephil, that the first Prophet defeated powerful witches and cleared the earth from evil. The case lures Immanuel into the forbidden forest, where she receives the diaries of the deceased mother as a gift and learns the truth about the real history of the Church. Completely determined, it begins to act, because not distant evil forces pose a real threat to Vephil, but those that live nearby every day.
