One of the features of the “zero bone loss” is a combination of surgical and orthopedic methods of achieving and preserving the stable level of the bone, respectively. In fact, this combination reflects my own approach to implantological treatment. First, I received a specialty of the orthopedic dentist and the first five years of my dental practice was engaged exclusively to dental prosthetics. Nevertheless, quite soon I realized that without understanding the basics of surgery and possession of surgical methods, it is simply impossible to achieve the optimal result of orthopedic treatment.

I always strove for the simplest solution to complex problems. And in the course of all my research activities, I tried to give the most clear answers to specific questions. For example, what location of the edge of the prosthesis with cement fixation ensures the complete removal of excess cement? According to my data, this is possible only with the supra -standing position of the edge of the restoration. When conducting a study, you need to take into account the audience for which it is intended. In other words, the clinicians who will get acquainted with scientific work should understand it correctly. Therefore, at the end of the first (surgical) part of the book, brief conclusions are presented, and at the end of each chapter I highlight its key aspects (similarly as I do this in my lectures). Approaches to treatment are constantly developing, improving, and it will always be so. Some new materials and methods simply did not have time to get into the book. It is necessary to remember: the characteristic “best” regarding any type of treatment is very conditional and temporary.

summarizing what has been said, I want to recall one of my beloved Maxim, which is so often true, nothing is impossible. Confirmation of this will be the result of the practical application of the methods of stabilization of the bone level described in this monograph in the field of implants.
