The operative of the sabotage and reconnaissance detachment of special operations forces after dismissal in the reserve does not get along in modern peaceful realities. His choice is not rich: to go to the next hot point or dissolve in the vastness of the recently emerged zone of alienation, known as the St. Petersburg Zone. Having chosen the second option, the former saboteur becomes a stalker, nicknamed the old one.

Performing the merchant’s task, in an inconspicuous village, the old one comes into a fight with one of the most dangerous mutants - the destructor. During the battle, the stalker enters the anomaly and is much more alien in the world than the Peter Zone.

In order to return home, the old one must defeat the evil that penetrated with him into this mysterious world, inhabited by marvelous and terrible creatures. However, very soon the stalker thinks about what he really wants: to return to the “native” zone or stay with new friends. However, no matter what he chooses, his place where the monsters are found.
