In the textbook “Social-scientific subjects. Financial literacy. New World ”for students in grades 5-7, topical practical issues of financial literacy, real life situations in the world of family finance and examples from literary works are considered. The peculiarity of the textbook is the presentation of the educational material as a literary and space trip, during which its participants get acquainted with financial terminology, analyze financial problems, identify financial threats and risks, look for options for increasing the financial well-being of the family by attracting supernome sources of income. Training is carried out through the active inclusion of the student in financial events by solving situational tasks and performing creative tasks, using cases, quest, puzzle, and developing practical recommendations. Performing practical tasks gives the student the opportunity to find many options for solving financial problems and understand the need to take into account the totality of factors affecting family finances.
