The textbook was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of basic general education, the work program for literature, ed. V.F. Chertov. The textbook introduces the best works of Russian and world literature, which are considered in the context of the world historical and cultural process. The textbook implements an active approach, which involves the mastery of specific skills and skills related to reading, analyzing and interpreting the artistic text, as well as their practical use in the process of creating their own oral and written speech utterances, research and creative works, in educational activities and in various fields communications and communication situations. In the program of grade 7, a large place is given to works with a tense plot, unexpected plot moves, which corresponds to the age characteristics of students, in particular their interest in the real basis of the work (historical or biographical prototype), the classics of fantastic and detective literature.
