Eduard Veniaminovich Limonov is known as a prose writer, a social philosopher, a politician. But Limonov began as a poet. That is how he imagined himself in his most famous novel “This is me, Oedica”: “I am a Russian poet.” Such specialists as Alexander Zholkovsky and Joseph Brodsky left the highest reviews about Limonov’s poetry. The poetic voice of Limonov is unique, and the contribution to the history of national and world literature will still be comprehended.
Returning to the composition of verses in the last two decades of his life, Limonov left a huge poetic heritage. Until now, attempts have not been made to collect and classify it. In addition to the lifetime books, non -certificate samizdat collections, poems from individual manuscripts and typewriters, other fruits of archival searches, begun during Limonov’s lifetime and finished only now are collected here. More than two hundred samples of a small and large poetic form will be published as part of this collection for the first time.
The reader will have a unique opportunity after the author leaves the unknown works of the unconditional classic. The meeting is accompanied by full -fledged cultural comments. Published with the preservation of author's spelling and punctuation.
