The composition of St. Meliton of the Sarlian “About Easter” is the liturgical poem of the early Christian era, created by approx. 160-164 In this hymn, which was read after the Parimiy from the book of the outcome, the Old Testament history is typologically revealed as the prototype of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ.
The full text of the poem was discovered only in 1940. In 1993, the anthem was first translated into Russian by Hieromonk Hilarion (Alfeev).
The presentation of the Perezal was presented in this edition. The frescoes of Roman catacombs were used as illustrations.
The publication is addressed to the widest circle of readers.
