Acrylic varnish is used to protect picturesque work, which are performed by acrylic paints, on wood, cardboard plastic, etc. The varnish is applied with one or more layers with an intermediate drying of at least 2 hours.

After the varnish dries, the surface becomes glossy, mechanically durable and waterproof. It is best to rinse the tools immediately after using the varnish.

Attention!

Acrylic composition can only crack in those cases when the basis on which it is applied not dried up and (or) contains excess moisture. There are several main causes of cracks when acrylic varnish drying out:

1. The material is not intended for acrylic varnish: wax candle, plasticine, silicone and other materials with high humidity.

2. The decorative coating (paint), which was covered with a finish varnish, was not completely dried.

3. Acrylic varnish is applied to several thick layers without interlayer drying.

In these cases, moisture will be released from the previous layer of paint (or varnish) and the upper layer of varnish will crack.

Tips for use:

• Important thoroughly degrease the surface before applying paint and (or) varnish;
• should apply varnish in several thin layers, necessarily with intermediate drying;
• Depending on the thickness of the layer, the drying time can be from 15 minutes to 2 hours;
• Each next layer is best applied in the cross direction to the previous one.
