For three thousand years, philosophical anthropology has been trying to answer the question: what is a person and what place he occupies in the world. For one and a half centuries, the philosophy of technology has been looking for an answer to other questions: what is the essence of technology and how to neutralize unwanted technogenic changes in nature, man, society. There are more and more philosophical concepts, but the events recommended by them are opposite. Public opinion, alarmed by the global problems of our time, does not listen to philosophers, referring to the fact that they cannot agree with each other.

The author suggests that the listed issues should be discussed by a new discipline - anthropology of technology. Studying the technique as a manifestation of a person’s activity, and a person as a subject of technical impact on the world, she will be able to give realized answers to modern problems and help philosophy to get out of the crisis of non -demand.
