Children of three to five years are quite experienced "artists." Usually they are fascinated by drawing in painting books, they can easily recognize images and quickly join the creation with the artist. This has both its “pros” and some “disadvantages”. The “pluses” is that children easily get a delightful, spectacular result and quickly improve the technique of drawing. They properly hold an artistic tool (brush, pencil, felt -tip pen) and confidently possess it: they try to follow the contour, repeating all the bends of the shape, independently select colors and shades, harmonious color crew. They paint large and elongated silhouettes with long parallel lines repeating the shape of the character. Wide and rounded silhouettes colorize closed lines or juicy spots, free strokes. And small elements and additional details are confidently portrayed with colored pencils or felt -tip pens. Small artists skillfully draw legs, tails, eyes, beams, structural elements - windows, wheels, flags... Complex images consisting of several elements of various shapes, children can easily recognize both in color and white and white image. In addition, they can see the image as a whole and consider it in parts (for kids this is not yet available). And they try to circle the overall contour to combine the details and see the holistic image! The “cons” of coloring the given images is that children accept the painting -painting for a given, once and for all the established type. They trust the professional artist and therefore carefully, restrain their imagination. Why it is so important to take the perception of children beyond the limits of a given image, advise adding new details or other images for the development of the plot: where is the character (floats by sea, travels along the road, flies among Clouds, sniffs a flower, catches a ball), with whom he met, what he found... and, of course, not limited to painting books, but more often to give clean - white or slightly tinted - paper for free and completely independent creativity!
