Proverbs - earthly history with heavenly meaning. The Lord Jesus himself spoke with parables with his disciples and the audience who doubted his teaching. The parable is a wonderful illustration of deep divine truths, directly not understandable to a person inexperienced in faith. The stories presented in them are easily remembered, their heroes are brightly written out, and the symbols carry a deep meaning.
