The goal with which this book is written is a study of the role of a computer metaphor in philosophical teachings about consciousness and their connection with some aspects of semantics. The author sets himself the task of clarifying the explanatory possibilities of computing models of consciousness (mind) both for their engineering implementation and for building philosophical explanations. The complexity of the problem is that the heterogeneous and contradictory computational approach to the philosophical problem of consciousness continues to be used in applied cognitive research as an heuristic metaphor, with the help of which significant results are achieved in computer engineering, artificial intelligence, modern neuronas. Physical and functional correlates of consciousness in the language of applied research are described using the "computer dictionary" of the sciences of data and information processes. It does not take into account that the scientific understanding of consciousness focuses in itself the whole variety of ontological and epistemological problems associated with the mind and phenomenal consciousness as philosophical categories. The author is trying to combine the substantiation of the methodological boundaries of computational approaches to the problem of linguistic meaning with the prospects for the use of computer metaphor in philosophical studies of human nature.
