The dictionary contains about 20,000 words and phrases. It included the words of the modern Russian language, when writing which difficulties may arise. In cases where the spelling features must be explained, brief interpretations are given. The dictionary can also serve as a reference to Russian pronunciation, as it is compiled in compliance with all orthoepic norms.  The publication is supplemented by useful applications: “Basic rules of Russian spelling”, “capital or lowercase”, “words that need to be remembered (vocabulary)”, “male names, patronymics”, “female names” and “cities of Russia and the names of their inhabitants”. The publication is intended for high school students, colleges and technical school students. It will help in preparation for passing the exam in the Russian language.
