Filimonovskaya toy - whistle "Deer"
Filimonovsky Principle originated in the village of Filimonovo, Tula region about 700 years ago. From special clay - Sinikov - girls and grandmothers sculpted whistles and sold them in the bazaar. The proceeds became dowry for girls, such brides were called whistles.
The toy receives its intricate shape in the process of drying: clay cracks, and the master smoothes irregularities. Burned material whitens and does not require additional primer. In the painting, the masters use three colors: green, yellow and raspberry.

- It is believed that Filimonov’s whistles are amulets that bring good luck to children.
