The textbook is the central element of the educational and methodological kit "Financial literacy" for grades 5–7 of general educational organizations. The accessible form tells about the complex world of money and the basic rules of behavior in this world. It is explained in detail how the family’s income is formed and what are the directions of family expenses, what is a family budget and why it is important to plan it correctly. A significant place is given to the topics of protection from the risk of loss of money and property, interaction of the state and family, the role of banks in the economy of the family, as well as organizing their own business.

The publication is addressed to students of the school 5–7, economy teachers and financial literacy as well as parents of schoolchildren.
