The material is cut by ordinary scissors and is easily painted due to the porous structure. For staining Foamiran, not only acrylic or oil paints are suitable, but also shadows for the eyelids, pastel or chalk.

Chinese foamiran differs from Iranian foamiran with more interesting shades, as it has a large degree of color saturation.
