This textbook is the main component of the UMK for the 7th grade of the series “Blue Bird”, created in the creative community of the author’s and publishing groups of Russia and France. It was created in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of basic general education and is recommended for studying French as a second foreign language.

Based on the features of this stage of training, a lot of attention in the textbook is paid to working with a written source of information - text. The thoughtful system of training and developing exercises allows students to master various reading strategies: search reading, reading with understanding general content, reading with a complete/detailed understanding of what has been read.

Sepal Double-Page, which precedes the main text of the block, is presented in the form of sociocultural mosaics and gives the actual sound to the studied topics, introduces new vocabulary, contains fragments of youth Internet forums, the results of sociological polls presented in the form of schemes and graphs. Significantly expanded and updated material of the Civilisation section is complemented by sociocultural content tests and has a modern colorful design. Each block ends the section of thematic vocabulary Vocabulaire thematique.
