The textbook was created on the basis of the concept “Primary school of the 21st century”, developed under the leadership of Professor N.F. Vinogradova. The textbook contains theoretical information and a system of exercises intended for the formation of new knowledge among students, consolidating the previously studied material, as well as tasks of entertaining nature and some information from the history of mathematics. Training exercises necessary for the development of students' skills in accordance with the program in mathematics are placed in workbooks (authors V.N. Rudnitskaya, T.V. Yudacheva). Corresponds to the Federal State Educational Standard of Primary General Education.
