We hope that contour maps will help you when studying such an interesting subject as geography. When performing any tasks, you can use a school textbook and a geographical atlas, but this does not mean that you need to redraw in detail the atlas cards, perform only specific tasks. In order to facilitate your work, a part of geographical objects has already been applied on each map. This will help you to navigate faster, completing the tasks that are indicated on the contour map, and the tasks proposed by the teacher additionally.

Remember that the contour map should be filled not only correctly, but also carefully. See how the names of geographical objects are located in the cards of the atlas, identify patterns in their design. In order not to overload the contour map, small geographical objects can be marked with numbers, and then explain their value in the legend of the card. For the correct and accurate application of geographical names to the contour map, use the lines of the map framework, river systems, the coastal line and the boundaries of states. Before starting work, determine the conventional signs that you will use and show their value in the legend of the card.
