The textbook is intended for children with disabilities and ensures the implementation of the requirements of the adapted basic general education program in the subject area “Technology” in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of the formation of students with intellectual disorders.

The textbook has a practical-oriented orientation. He will introduce students to the professions of a landscaper and a flower grower, will help to form an interest in children's breeding and decorative gardening in children, will teach to properly take care of indoor and floral plants, talk about the classification of floral-decorative crops and the main types of flower beds, about the features of annual flower plants and their agricultural technology growing, on the use of annual plants for flower design of streets and premises. Students will find out what flowers and plants can be planted on the balcony, near the house on a flowerbed or on a school site, how to use manual equipment and what rules should be observed when working with it. Questions and tasks at the end of each topic will help repeat and fix the material studied. When performing practical work, students will learn how to collect seeds of annual flower plants, dig the ground for plantings, grow garden and indoor flower plants, make bouquets for gifts to relatives and friends.

The textbook contains a lot of creative tasks that students will be interesting to perform on one's own. All topics of lessons and practical work are illustrated by a large number of drawings.
