Since the birds have no teeth, the food that they eat is shredded directly in the muscle stomach. For intensive grinding, the hosts give a poultry gravel, which increases the absorption of nutrients and the digestibility of feed (especially whole grain). Fraction - 2-6 mm. Contains: calcium and magnesium carbonate - at least 85 %, the mass fraction of calcium - at least 32 %. Method of application: Gravel is given once a week from the calculation of 10-15 g per one head of a bird or 0.5–1 % of the mass of the diet, adding it to the fodder mixture.
