Antinoy (lat. Antinous) is an abolished antique equatorial constellation. It was proposed in the II century n. e. In honor of the Antinom, Greek young man, favorite of the Roman emperor Adrian. Antina died under mysterious circumstances and was deified by the inconsolable emperor. The court astronomers placed the image of the Antino among the stars. The constellation was never universally recognized, but was included in Uranography by Jan Gelia back in 1690.
