I am Stepanova. Coloring for children and adults
Varvara Stepanova was born in Kaunas. She studied at the Kazan art school, where in 1914 she met Alexander Rodchenko, her future husband and ally. Without graduating from schools, she moved to Moscow. The first post-revolutionary years, the artist created illustrations for the books of Russian futurist poets. In the 20-30s, she was an art editor of magazines such as “Kinofot”, “Lef”, “New Lef”, “Soviet Cinema”, “Modern Architecture”, “Change”, worked on the design of performances and costumes in the theater in the theater E. Meyerhold. Later, in collaboration with Rodchenko, she was engaged in the design of campaign and political albums. Stepanova is known as a radical innovator of textile design. Her drawings, made for the first seitzenaby factory, were not only the embodiment of new forms and techniques, but also finally determined the creative face of the great artist. Painted pictures can be easily separated from the album and designed in the frame (the size of the pictures is ideal for IKEA frames).
