The Gross Piranha hacksaw is used for sawing wood, suitable for chipboard, plywood. The canvas is made of Japanese high-carbon steel SK-5, and the cutting edges have surface hardening and sharpened from 3 sides. This increases the wear resistance of the teeth and improves the quality of the cut.

The surface of the canvas has a Teflon coating that protects the metal from rust, and also accelerates the sawing due to the increased sliding effect.
