Designed to measure compression in automobile and motorcycle gasoline internal combustion engines with a thread of the m14 × 1.25 candle hole.

measurements are carried out using a threaded sleeve or a clamping rubber sleeve.

engines with other types of candy holes are also diagnosed using a clamping rubber sleeve.

The compressometer consists of a manometer in a protective rubber case with a discharge valve, a bushing of an connective with a thread M14 × 1, 25, bushings of conical rubber, locking valve.

Application:

1. Before measuring the compression, check the gaps in the valves and, if necessary, adjust them.

2. Warm the ICE to the coolant temperature 80 - 90 ° C and drown out.

3. Disconnect the wires from the spark plugs and turn out the candles.

4. Insert the compressometer with a conical rubber sleeve into the candle hole of the 1st cylinder and press tightly.

5. Turn the crankshaft of the ICE by a starter with a frequency of 180-360 rpm until the readings of the compressometer cease to increase.

6. Having determined the pressure in the cylinder, it is necessary to release air by pressing the discharge valve in the upper part of the compressometer.

7. Measure compression in other cylinders in a similar way.

8. Clean the measurement results with the values ​​recommended by the manufacturer of the internal combustion engine.

for a/m VAZ 2101 - 10: the nominal compression is 1.1 - 1.3 MPa (11 - 13 kgfs/cm2) Compression below 0.8 MPa (8 kgf/cm2) indicates the need for overhaul of the ICE.

The difference in cylinders in the cylinders is more than 0.1 MPa (1 kgf/cm²) indicates a malfunction of the internal combustion engine.

Possible ICE malfunctions: valve leakage, damage to the gasket of the cylinder block, hair sequent or handling piston rings.
