The main goals of the literary reading course in grade 3 are to develop the perception of artistic texts in children, to improve the skill of reading works of different types and genres (aloud and to themselves), and to educate interest in reader activity. In the 3rd grade textbook, children are offered a new type of task - motivational reading aloud and to themselves. In the process of working with literary text, children form ideas about literary concepts and terms.

The textbook contains two parts and is proposed complete with the program and book for the teacher “Literary reading lessons in modern primary school. Grade 3 ”, which helps in the preparation and conduct of classes with children.

The textbook complies with the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education.
