The textbook introduces first -graders to the works of Russian literature, which most clearly reflects the spiritual foundations of Russian culture, the Russian national character, customs, traditions of the Russian people. Each of the problem-thematic blocks of the textbook contains key concepts that reflect the spiritual and material culture of the Russian people in their historical relationship. Working with a teaching aid contributes to the enrichment of students' speech, the development of their speech culture and communicative competence. A significant part of the texts is intended for reading the teacher out loud, due to the features of learning in grade 1.
